Dear Parents

As you all know, each day affords us a multitude of teaching moments that could be addressed. During discussions we have found that targeting independence would be a great place to start. This is a wonderful attribute that students will benefit from for years to come and why not start now. We are looking to increase this skill in very simple and natural settings such as the beginning and end of sessions or socials.

We can all do our part by priming our children beforehand on what their job will be and ensuring that we limit our exposure and presence, eliminating interference. Dropping off and picking up at the very front door, and giving the kids a chance to show their responsibility can also achieve this. Please note that supervision starts 5 minutes before a session or social.
