Month of April

This month the children will be learning about a couple different themes: Mother's Day, On the Farm, Opposites and Outer Space.

Theme: Mother's Day The children will be talking about Mother's Day and completing different crafts and activities about all the wonderful women in our lives.

Theme: On the Farm A favourite theme with our groups! We will discover what farmers do each day, the many crops they plant and the different animals that live on the farm.

Theme: Outer Space We will learn about the different elements of outer space and the planets by completing many different activities and fun scientific lessons!

Please make sure that you are sending in appropriate outdoor wear for recess. Don't forget to check the Calendar for your child's special day.

Spring is in the air!!

The fabulous weather has arrived, YEAH!! The kids have really enjoyed being outside running around and playing many games with their peers. They have been working on different gross motor actions, obstacle courses, group games and ball play.

Spring was a fun and exciting topic for the kids. They learned about different activities they can do outside, changes they might see, and they shared their favourite things to do in the spring. The children also enjoyed talking about creepy crawly bugs and reading about them throughout our unit.

Students also enjoyed having their Easter egg hunt and discovering what secret treat was hiding in their eggs.
