Missing Links Academy
The Missing Links Academy brings a hybrid approach to teaching, bridging the gap between classical education and curriculum content with behaviour and socialization goals. Our Ontario Certified Teachers work closely with our ABA trained staff to create a supportive, clinically proven, learning environment and approach for students on the ASD spectrum. We explore the Ontario School Curriculum with hands on, innovative approaches, to encourage student investment and social skills development.
IBI / ABA Program
Our Intensive Behavioural Intervention follows the prescribed clinical based approach to behaviours and learning in a clinical setting with objectivity, professionalism, and intensity. We individualize each program based on assessments (ABLLS-R and VB MAPP), observations, behaviours, and learner topography.
ABA Transition Program
Our ABA transition program offers a variety of curriculum based learning for those with the prerequisite skills for consolidating learning. We facilitate growth by furthering awareness and the skills of investing in others. Using the Hidden Curriculum, executive functioning, 6 Step strategies and video modeling, this dynamic approach encourages individualized growth and success. Collectively the content of this group helps define and extend understanding of relationships, communication, and ownership of oneself. Using a variety of teaching approaches such as 1-1 sessions, groups sessions, social groups, coaching sessions and parent training, this program offers a multidimensional learning experience.
Our innovative ABA based Early Learners program is a group based program combining targets and curriculum goals from the Ontario Full Day Early Learning Kindergarten Program (FDELK), ABLLS-R assessments, VP MAPP assessments, the Carolina Curriculum and A Work In Progress. Our multidisciplinary team brings together Ontario Certified Teachers, ECEs, autism behavioural science graduates, and behaviour specialists to create individual programs for each student to facilitate development and growth.
Our team is passionate about facilitating social interactions and building appropriate communication skills in a fun social environment. Our social groups are interest / topic specific, and aim to encourage natural relationship development in an environment that offers exposure and explanation of unspoken social rules. With an ABA based foundation, each social group encourages appropriate greetings, peer relationships, reciprocal conversation, and interest expansion. We have three terms of social groups running throughout the year, so find your interest and get involved.
At Missing Links, our tutoring program is overseen by Ontario Certified Teachers. By isolating and teaching foundational skills, we are able to bridge the curriculum gap our students often face in the classroom. As with all of our programs, our tutoring is completely individualized and targets specific skill sets, curriculum goals, and subjects for each learner.

In line with this, we offer many in-house parent training specific to each client. These training sessions cover topics such as program specific goals, understanding of behaviour, developing ABA skills and data collection.
