The Kaufman Protocol

For learners experiencing motor speech planning difficulties, we implement The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol (K-SLP) – a proven, systematic approach designed to develop and shape intelligible speech. It’s especially effective for children with apraxia and related speech sound disorders.

  • Targets syllable shapes & word approximations
  • Utilizes shaping, prompting, and fading strategies
  • Promotes verbal imitation and successive word approximations

AAC Devices & Our Approach

We embrace a total communication approach that integrates Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to help every learner find their voice. Whether using no-tech, low-tech, or high-tech tools, our programs are tailored to support functional communication across all environments.

  • PECS, sign language, core boards, and speech-generating devices
  • Tailored device recommendations & setup support
  • Training for caregivers, schools, and clinical staff
  • Naturalistic strategies to promote meaningful, spontaneous communication
