Progressive ABA

About Missing Links

Founded in 2004, Missing Links has quickly become a respected institute for both behavioural intervention and formal education, serving students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. By utilizing the evidence based practices of Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA), Missing Links creates a hybrid environment driven by data supported decisions and programming.  Missing Links is the first of its class, successfully establishing an environment that bridges the gap between classical clinical approaches to autism and the standardized provincial curriculum. This multidisciplinary approach brings teachers, ABA professionals, and behavioural specialists together to facilitate pre-academic, academic, social, personal, and behavioural development of our students.

Serving a wide range of students, Missing Links confidently modifies and accommodates curriculum, learning environments, teaching strategies, and augmentative communication devices. We encourage development across domains of both academic curriculum and clinical assessment guidelines (VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, CDMGs).

Our service model and philosophy stress the importance of individualized programming that meets the needs and celebrates the strength of each student we serve. In offering a comprehensive program that targets maladaptive behaviour, communication delays, social deficits, and provincial based education, we are able to create an environment that truly facilitates well rounded development. The phenomenal growth and development we see in our students has been celebrated by parents, families, speech and language specialists, ABA professionals, clinical psychologists and doctors alike.

Our Progressive ABA Model

Missing Links is a private ABA-based therapy centre and private school in Burlington, Ontario, serving toddlers to adults with autism and other exceptionalities. We provide the missing link between autism education and intervention through our progressive ABA model.

At Missing Links, we believe every individual deserves more than just support—they deserve the opportunity to thrive. For over 20 years, we’ve been dedicated to filling the gap between traditional Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and the real-life needs of individuals with Autism. Our approach, known as Progressive ABA, is reshaping how we support and empower our learners by focusing on functional and foundational skills that prepare them for meaningful, independent lives.

What Is Progressive ABA?

3

Natural Teaching

We use real-life environments and interactions to encourage organic, lasting learning.

4

Teaching the Whole Person

Our aim is to support the full growth of each individual—not just skills, but confidence and independence.
